I grew up in Abadan, Iran during the 60s. Abadan, was one of the most liberal cities in Iran which offered a modern western lifestyle in a land of history and tradition. This exposure to both East and West provided me with great appreciation and enjoyment for art, culture, history, and through my mothers influence, in poetry of Iran as well as the art and culture of the West.
In the past 30 years, I have worked as a marketing and advertising professional for large companies but I have also pursued my true passion and life-long desire to create art, support and represent artists and local art organizations , and produced over a dozen art shows. Ive also taught workshops at schools and have been a repeat speaker talking about the history of Persian art at several annual events. Currently, I am a member of the Auxiliary of the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco where we produce the Museums largest fundraiser Bouquet to the Arts.

I am currently producing and curating art at Madrigal Family Winerys Sausalito Tasting Salon and Gallery. I launched the program in the fall of 2015 where we have monthly art exhibits representing local Bay Area and California artist. To date, we have produced 13 art shows and represented 20+ artists.
For the past 30 years, I have and continue to buy art from artists I meet, like, and want to represent. Therefore, I work with a number of visual artists in the community and beyond who are represented on my website: tinyurl.com/Shivas-Art-Salon
